Concordia works oldies
Although it is becoming increasingly difficult for VLCCs built in the 1970s to find business, as most are being sold for scrap or conversion, Concordia Maritime still managed to earn an average of USD24,000 per day on two of the world's oldest ships during the first six months of 2004. Revenues from more modern ships are significantly higher, but the two oldies have contributed to Condordia increasing its full-year pre-tax profit forecast from SEK150 million to SEK170 million.
